1950's Beaded Cardigan

WHY THE 50'S CARDIGAN
This cargangan lives in the Theatre UAF costume shop.
And when I saw this garment it was too much not to do my historical
dating report on. This was also a project for History of Fashion & Dress.
We were to pick out a garment and historicly date the garment and provide
all the information for reproduction if anyone desired. And
the general good of mankind.

  The 1950's and the cardigan
In the 1950's the cardigan was a tool in every womans wardrobe. The very useful cardigan could help play up any outfit and was expected to be wore by all.

When in the 1950's?
From what I have seen in catalogs of the 50's and vintage clothing. I believe this cardigan is from the early 1950's. In the later 50's the colors became brighter and the beading was seen less and less. In the early 50's peach and tan was a popular color for the cardigan, but not white.
